CHRISTMAS IN THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE

The weather has been a mixture of appalling,  gales and driving rain………………fog and sun, in other words not so far from normal!
With a roaring fire in the grate we have all had a relaxing break in the country & Lucy our new young lurcher is getting to know her way around.

More on antiques, the shop and what is happening soon………..

ANTIQUES AT CHRISTMAS

The Christmas window is something that we love and this year we have gone for 18th century grandeur…….

In the background we have hung an early 18th century English tapestry with a French Louis XV lantern in front. To the left is a mid 18th century portrait and in the centre a small French Empire table with Christmas dinner laid for two.
On the left are antique children's carriages filled with Children's name pictures, cards and teddy bears……..
